Daniel S. “Dan” Sexton, 76 of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, December 27, 2014, in The Toledo Hospital. Born August 27, 1938 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Stanley P. and Marie E. (Smith) Sexton. Dan was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo and 1960 graduate of University of Dayton and then served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He married Alice C. Sauppe on September 1, 1962. He was employed as a regional sales manager for Procter & Gamble for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Toledo and enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, traveling, golfing, bowling, but most of all spending time with his 11 grandchildren.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Alice. Children, Mark (Lea Ann) Sexton of Franklin, TN, Catherine (Paul) Huizenga of Liberty Twp., OH, Matthew (Martha) Sexton of Lambertville, MI, Christopher (Connie) Sexton of Lambertville, MI and Sean (Joni) Sexton of Temperance, MI. Brothers, Thomas (Mary Jane) Sexton of Temperance, MI and Richard (Sandra) Sexton of Kingwood, TX. Sisters, Mary Jo Becker of Los Altos, CA and Elizabeth (Walter) Helms of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Timothy Sexton, sister-in-law, Connie Sexton and brother-in-law, Donald Becker.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a scripture service will be Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo, OH, at 1:00 p.m. where he will lie in state after 12:00 Noon.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel – Resurrection Cemetery, Temperance, MI. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Association. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
